[1] My corp went on a run yesterday, basically looking to wreak some havok with the new flagging rules, and came across a bunch of macro-miners in Altrinur (0.8). This particular group were all in Apocs with 4 Hammerhead 1 drones per ship as defence, all hardpoints equipped with mining lasers. All in all we moved around 4M worth of ore from can to can before we got any reaction from them at all - and even then it was to simply stop mining and to target us without actually making a move to attack. All of a sudden the bulk of the group warped out at once, leaving one to try and reclaim some of the ore we'd moved hence flagging himself. One Apoc down, and 4M isk extra in the bank for us. We did encounter a small group of barges in the same system as well, but they refused to take from our cans... they clearly fit the macro profile, but would only take from their own gang's cans. We even tried renaming the cans we dropped to make them look like theirs, but to no avail. I wonder if some of them have managed to program the macro to recognise the "You will be flagged as a thief" message and leave any cans which bring it up. |

None of them attacked us when we looted the cans. One fought back when we attacked after he flagged himself, but he only had drones and they were quickly taken care of. All corp members were able to KOS, they saw the flag, though one gang member who is a friend but not in the corp received the "You are about to commit a crime" warning when he attempted to open fire, so kept his missiles to himself. This confused me, as I was led to believe that flagging worked for all gang members, but in this case it didn't seem to. |
